Below we explain step by step
how to fertilize your citrus
tree. We will be adding videos soon!
Let us know
how
helpful this was.
Fertilizing Citrus Trees Step By Step
First
step: Make sure purchase a high-nitrogen liquid
or granular fertilizer. We recommend a 8-4-8
fertilizer for citrus trees. Some believe that
liquid fertilizers are easiest to use on citrus
trees that grow in containers and that you should
use granular fertilizer on trees planted in the
ground. We recommend miracle-gro by bloombusters
specifically for citrus or avocado trees.
Second
step:
It is very important to water your citrus
tree before applying the fertilizer.
Third
step:
Read the label and apply fertilizer evenly
to the soil beneath the tree's canopy
Fourth
step: You will need to water the tree again
after fertilizing to wash nutrients into soil.
Fifth
step: Be
sure to read the directions on the label of your fertilizer to see how
often you need to repeat this process.
